Championing Education as a Pathway to Equity and Opportunity

In December 2022, Kalawa and the firm’s partnership launched the Kalawa Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing educational opportunities for underserved communities. The Foundation is committed to empowering youth through access to quality education, scholarships, internships, fellowships, and financial literacy programs. By supporting academic achievement and lifelong learning, the Kalawa Foundation seeks to create lasting, positive change in the lives of young individuals and their communities.

Kalawa recognizes the communities in which it operates as primary stakeholders in its success.

Kalawa has donated to a host of charitable organizations across the country since it was founded in 2022. The Kalawa Foundation, as part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit platform, will provide an independent, philanthropic entity through which Kalawa can consolidate its community nonprofit grants and eliminate any potential conflicts with the firm’s business dealings. Over time, the Foundation strives to implement an independent fundraising strategy to complement and expand previous contributions made by Kalawa.
